Here at SCC we put a lot of value into building students who are committed disciples of Jesus. As the body of Christ, it is our responsibility to train up the next generation to be bearers of the light of Christ. We do this through Bible-based messages, student-led musical worship, small group bonding, serving and volunteer opportunities, fun and meaningful retreats, unforgettable camp experiences, and impactful mission trips that get students out of their comfort zones and into the world, where Jesus called us to serve.
If you are interested in checking us out, SCC students meet on Sunday nights – Middle School from 5:45-7PM and High School from 6:30-8PM through many engaging events every month. We would love to meet you!
We believe that kids matter to God
We have created a safe and fun filled environment where kids can learn about Jesus and grow in their faith. Our first and highest priority is every child’s safety.
Every volunteer submits to a thorough background check.
We train and orient volunteers about safety and security protocols.
Multiple security volunteers are stationed in the building.
A copy of our child protection policy can be downloaded here.
And another huge priority for us is fun! So we pour ourselves into the task of creating experiences and teaching lessons your child will talk about on the ride home.
On Your First Visit
When you arrive at Shores Community, please park right up front, as our special guests! If you have kids, enter the main entrance and our staff and volunteers will meet you at the door. They will show you the way to our children’s area, where we will take down your basic information and learn a little about your children. We’ll ask about allergies and special needs, then show you the classroom where your kids will be learning.
After they’re all checked in, just make your way to the sanctuary where our greeting team will meet you at the doors and offer you a bulletin, help you find the coffee, and make sure you find a seat. If there is any issue that needs your attention, the kids volunteers will send you a text or find you discreetly during the worship service.
What We Offer

The Ride Home
On your way home, be sure to ask your child questions like, “Did you have fun?” and “What did you learn today?” It’s our goal that every child has a positive answer to these two questions, every week!
We have fun! We learn about Jesus. We get to know each other. And we always keep in mind that the church is here to help parents, not replace them. Your kids are going to love it at Shores Community, and Shores Community is going to love your kids!
We believe one of a church’s primary responsibilities is to pray, so at Shores Community Church, we take this seriously. From prayer walks to Prayer and Praise nights and a very active prayer team, we cover our church in prayer. We have a prayer wall that is updated weekly and prayer after every service. From a prayer calendar and full days devoted to coordinated prayer, as well as prayer and fasting campaigns, we believe God is actively encouraged to work his miracle-working power at Shores. Please feel free to leave a prayer request. We promise that someone will pray and respond quickly!
Also take time to look at some of the stories of changed lives as a result of prayer. These stories clearly show that God is at work through the prayers of his followers!
Our women’s ministry arises out of Scripture. Paul encouraged women to teach, nurture, and help each other become mature Christians (Titus 2:3-5). Our women’s ministry provides an opportunity to get together as sisters in the Lord, where being a Christian is the common ground and the goal is strengthening relationships with Jesus and with each other.
The women’s ministry at Shores is for all women, no matter your age, background, or life stage. We want to meet ladies right where they are and come alongside them – encouraging, supporting, praying with, and equipping them in their journey with God. We want to grow our faith and demonstrate his love and grace through our lives and relationships. We want deeper, Christ-centered relationships with each other through women’s small groups, prayer meetings, fellowships, and mentoring. We want to encourage and equip women to faithfully and fully use their God-given gifts to glorify God. As we worship and serve the Lord together, we want every woman to feel loved and accepted for who she is in Christ so that she is transformed and empowered to live out Christ’s love and grace.
Our men’s ministry, WiFi, is the active pursuit of men in order to connect them to God, his Word, and other men for the purpose of winning, growing, and training God’s men in Christ.
At Shores, we biblically train and equip men to be spiritual leaders in their homes, in the church, and in their places of business. WiFi develops men in Christian living to make an eternal impact for this generation and those to come. We accomplish this mission through Bible study, discipleship groups, evangelism training, leadership development, accountability groups, mentoring, retreats, and special events. In today’s culture, it’s increasingly important for men to honor God with their hearts and lives.
Whether it is spiritual, emotional, or physical, we want to pray for you!
